Management Team
Bob Lee, Chief Executive Officer
Bob Lee is truly “bigger than life” within the motorcoach industry, so it’s no wonder his biography is a little longer. To a certain extent, Bob’s history is Oregon Motorcoach Center’s history and our point of origin.
Bob was born into a logging and dairy farming family in Klamath Falls, OR. He joined the U.S. Navy after high school and trained as a jet mechanic. He left the service in 1961, married his longtime love Terry, and went to work near Los Angeles, CA for North American Rockwell, where he was an equipment buyer with the Apollo Space Program. In 1968, he decided to return to his Oregon roots and moved his young family to Junction City, OR. With two friends, he became one of the original founders of Monaco Corporation (established at the time as Caribou Manufacturing.) He was with Monaco until 1973, when he and his partners decided to go separate ways. He founded Country Camper in 1973, working as a service manager at a Ford dealership during the day and building truck canopies in a garage at night. Country Camper grew and was incorporated in 1974. Today, Country Coach, as it’s now known, is a leading manufacturer of highline Class A diesel pushers. Bob continues to be involved with the company as a consulting expert. In 2008, he decided that the motorcoach industry lacked a service and renovation center that was dedicated to excellence, integrity, honesty, and quality. In a return to the roots of the RV industry—and with a desire to reinvigorate the family atmosphere in the motorcoach lifestyle—he founded Oregon Motorcoach Center.
Bob is a prominent voice within the recreation industry, having held various positions within the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) and the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA), as well as serving as a board member of the Oregon Reinforced Plastics Association. In August of 2000, Bob Lee was inducted into the RV/MH Heritage Foundation Hall of Fame. He is also actively involved in the community where his several business ventures are located and which he calls home. Bob was honored by the Junction City-Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce with a Distinguished Service Award in 2006 for his community involvement. He has served on the board of the Junction City-Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce and on the city council for Junction City. Bob logs thousands of miles each year in his personal motorcoach with his wife, Terry, and his grandchildren.
Pat Mason, Vice President
Patrick Mason was born in Fort Thomas, KY to James and Patricia Mason. He was raised in Southern California and attended college at Arizona State University, where he played football for the Sun Devils. At ASU, he also met his wife Kenda, daughter of Bob and Terry Lee. Pat and Kenda were married in 1992 and, after graduating from ASU, moved to Junction City, OR to join the family business.
In his 15 years with Country Coach, Pat was involved in all facets of sales, eventually moving to the engineering department to become an integral member of the research and development team heading up conceptual design. In 2008, he decided to join Bob Lee in creating Oregon Motorcoach Center.
Pat and Kenda have two children, Kylie and Connor. In his free time he's an active member of the Aquaducks Master Swimming Team, and enjoys competing in endurance races such as Arizona Ironman 2007 and the Alcatraz Sharkfest Swim 2008.
Ed Read, Operations Manager
Ed comes to Oregon Motorcoach Center with over 35 years experience in the RV industry. He started working with Bob Lee back in 1977 at Country Camper, and worked his way up the ladder exploring all facets of what would eventually become Country Coach. He held the position of Senior Vice President when he left Country Coach in 2008 to join Bob in starting OMC.
Ed’s passion for the RV industry is stronger than ever, as he helps OMC reinvent customer service for RV owners. His goal is to exceed clients' expectations by returning their revitalized motorcoach on time, within budget, and with the highest quality workmanship. He finds personal satisfaction in offering ideas and suggestions, working closely with our clients to maximize the value of their service and/or remodel.
The outdoors is Ed's other passion. He can be found fishing and kayaking the local rivers and lakes when he's away from OMC, or travelling the open road. Recently, he has also become an avid runner, inspiring many friends and associates by losing nearly 100 pounds and completing his third marathon in October, 2008.
